Warfare Incorporated for the iPhone/iPod Touch Review

Filed in App Reviews , News 0 comments

IMG_0005.PNGAn already popular and well made game, Warfare Incorporated the RTS is finally ported over to the iPhone and iPod Touch platform.  But it is more than just a simple port and runs fluidly on the system and works well with the touch interface.  Obvioulsy you’re not going to have the ease of commands like on a keyboard but it isn’t that bad. £2.99 limited price in the App store now so it’s likely to rise soon.

If you’ve already played and completed Warfare Incorporated before you’ll see nothing new here, the system and campaign is exactly the same but will please new users alike.  IMG_0004.PNGIt will require a lot of time and effort though and isn’t something you can just pick up and play as a certain amount of strategy is required to combat the later levels.  The graphics are the biggest let down here and haven’t changed since the games release years ago and only just make it in my book.  If it wasn’t for the compelling action and gameplay, Warfare Incorporated wouldn’t satisfy me.  However saying that it is a unique experience on the iPhone so far and I’m sure we’ll see many more to grace the mobile platform , so if you like real time strategy games this one may be right up your street.

Got my free iPhone 4 case today courtesy of Apple - Transparent Belkin Shield MicraWell to fill time and to grab a bargain on eBay, I picked up Just Cause. The first one mind, not the second one yetAnd one more glorious picture showing the Unreal 3 engine running on iOS. Any argument? Can the Samsung Galaxy do that??These graphics are truly epic for a mobile device - HD and real time. Epic Citadel app showcases the Unreal 3 engineHow optimistic I was yesterday before the football game - did get a good photo though as I'm unlikely to go again this season.Playing with a GPS unit from Merimobiles.com that has WINDOWS CE on it!! OMGJust opened the 'Clingo' - strange name I know. Heavy but sturdy could be a fantastic niche product.typing on it right now!!Misty at Villa Park tonight, strong squad named thoughReceived the clingo today from mobilefun.co.uk. Going to use as a stand for the iPhone or as a way to hold the camera. Unboxing later...
